The DCA has compiled exprehensive Technical Guidelines for the European HDD industry, which have been published in three different languages. The Technical Guidelines help to improve the quality of planning and realising HDD-Projects. Thus supporting the acceptance of modern special construction techniques.

The following focal subjects are treated in the technical guidelines:

  • Which project fundamentals are necessary for an HDD-Drilling?
  • What is needed for a safety assessment of the building ground?
  • Which permissions have to be issued before the start of the construction works?
  • How should the project planning be arranged?
  • Which safety arrangements have to be guaranteed?
  • What has to be observed for the launching of a project?
  • How should the quality assurance be arranged during the drilling works?
  • What is the content of a comprehensible documentation?
